1. What do I need to do for the job?
 
You will help people with their every day life routines
  • Geting your client up and ready for their day - dressing, showering and toileting.
  • Light household duties
  • Shopping
  • Driving your client to the shops, appointments, college, work or other places of interest.
  • Cooking dinner
  • Assist the client back into bed in the evening
 
 
2. How do I get there?
 
Simply book your ticket, fly to London, make your way to Hatfield station and we’ll pick you up from there. Getting to the UK
 
 
3. What visa do I need?
 
Check with the British High Commission as to what visa you can apply for: www.ukinaustralia.fco.gov.uk. Essential Info – Visa.
 
The most common types of visa are:
Youth Mobility Scheme Tier 5 - available for people aged 17 - 30
Ancestry Visa - avaiable if your parents or grandparents are British
Highly Skilled Migrant Visa - available to people with particular qualifications - refer to the British High Commission Website above
 
Or
 
If you hold a British or EU passport you don't need a visa. To check eligibility for a passport, also see the British High Commission website.
 
4. Can you help me get a visa?
 
We are unable to help you get your visa, however it is a simple process of filling in an application form and sending it away with your passport and the relevant fee. Visit www.ukinaustralia.gov.uk
 
5. I don’t have a driver’s license, can I still get a job?
 
It is essential that you are a confident manual driver. The majority of our positions require you to have a full manual licence as our clients will insure you to drive their car to transport them to appointments. If you don't have a licence we cannot proceed with your application.
 
6. Does it matter if I only have an automatic driver’s license?
 
Very few of our positions are for automatic drivers, you really need to have a manual licence. You can swith from auto to manual and if you feel your a confident driver, please contact us.
 
 
7. What happens in training?
 
8. What’s the deal with the free accommodation during training?
 
During our 4 day free training course, you are welcome to stay in our ENA House located in St Albans near our training room free of charge. We will transfer you to training daily and provide breakfast and lunch. If you have friends and family you would prefer to stay with, you are free to stay else where.

9. I don’t have any experience will I be able to do the job?
 
Yes! Previous experience is not essential as we provide training and our clients are happy to train you on the job. Every position is different so experienced or not you will need to learn a new routine. It's more so personality that we're looking for as you need to be able to live with, get along with and have fun with your client on a daily basis.
 
10. I have worked with children before - can I be a carer?
 
Absolutely! We have many staff who started off in child care and want to try something new. You will gain experience and the opportunities will open for you in this new profession.
Many of our ex child carers slide into care work without problems. You should definately try it!
